My Story

“It took me years to awaken to the realisation that I don’t need arms to thrive in this world, I needed to remember who I am as a powerful, limitless being”

I was born without arms in Trinidad and Tobago. From a very young age, I became aware of how the world often defines people by what they lack rather than what they carry within. At just six years old, I dreamed of becoming an attorney, not simply because of my love for justice, but because I equated career success with worthiness and belonging. Growing up, I believed if I worked hard enough, achieved enough, then maybe people would look past what I didn’t have [my arms] and see who I truly was. For me, pursuing law was not just about a profession; it was a form of survival, a way to transcend the limits others tried to place on me. It was seen as a way to armour myself with credibility in a world that questioned my capabilities before I had the chance to show them.

I currently sit as Lay-Assessor at the Equal Opportunity Tribunal following a Presidential appointment in 2024 by Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo, ORTT President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. I am a Member of The Distinguished Society of Trinidad and Tobago having been the recipient of a National Award, The Hummingbird Medal for Youth Inspiration and Development in 2014. Over the years I’ve partnered with organizations across industries, including insurance, finance, and NGOs – to guide leaders and teams towards creating cultures of alignment, self-awareness and conscious Self-leadership.

In my early 30s, despite all the outward signs of success, I came face-to-face with an inner emptiness I could no longer ignore. It was during this time that I truly met myself for the first time. Therapy, yoga and meditation became the entry point. I began to sit with the pain I had long outrun. I learned to turn toward the parts of myself I had abandoned, the parts that had been silenced, shamed, or hidden in order to be accepted by the world. With compassion and courage, I began to gently peel back the layers of my story: the unmet needs and the adaptive patterns I had formed to feel safe and seen. What I discovered was not brokenness but unlived potential. I began to explore who I was beyond the labels: beyond being armless, beyond being an attorney, beyond being the one who had to “overcome.” And in that exploration, I reconnected with something far deeper: the truth of who I am as a limitless, powerful being, untouched by disability or trauma. This journey has taught me that true transformation doesn’t come from striving to become more, but from remembering who we already are beneath the noise. It is from this place of wholeness that I live, lead and serve others, not as someone with all the answers, but as someone who has walked the path, continue to do the inner work, to return home to myself again and again.

My own evolutionary process prompted this career evolution as during this process I discovered a new calling; not to advise from a place of authority, but to guide from a place of compassion and authenticity. My training in Compassionate Inquiry with Dr. Gabor Maté alongside a Diploma in Transformative Coaching with Animas Centre for Coaching (UK), integrates the wisdom of trauma awareness with the deep, reflective practices of transformational coaching. Becoming a Coach, Keynote Speaker and Yoga Teacher isn’t a career move; it is a soul alignment. It emerged from my own lived experience, and my deep desire to guide others as they navigate their own reconnection – to purpose, wholeness and to Self. As a coach and speaker, I serve as an instrument through which insight and transformation can unfold – translating life’s lessons, pain, and triumphs into messages that awaken others to their own power. Whether I’m speaking to a room of leaders or sitting in quiet conversation with a client, I hold the space for others to hear that inner wisdom, to remember their own power and to rise unshaken from within.

The work I do moves beyond inspiration – it evokes liberation.

Why Work with me?

Here’s what I bring into every room, stage, or session
  • Lived Experience
My story is deeply human. I know what it means to defy limitations, to rebuild identity, and to lead from within. That lived resilience informs everything I teach and hold space for.
  • Depth & Integrity
I’m trauma-informed, grounded in nervous system awareness, and trained to hold safe, non-performative space for real transformation. I don’t do quick fixes. I walk with you through the messy middle – compassionately, skillfully, and without judgment.
  • Soul & Strategy
With a background in law and a heart rooted in self-inquiry, I blend structure with intuition. Insight with embodiment. You get clarity, tools, and truth- not fluff.
  • Ethical & Sustainable Growth
Being armless means that before I even speak, my presence invites reflection. When I do speak, I offer more than inspiration – I offer mirrors, medicine, and messages that reach beneath the surface.
Whether you’re sitting across from me in a coaching space, or listening to me speak from a stage – you’ll be met with truth, depth, and a kind of clarity that invites your own.
